Photo Friday: Technology

The lighting on this is a bit off (I wish I had shot at a different time of day so as to highlight the inner workings of the pump) but I still like the highlights. The subject is just so raw. When I see a scene like this I know that my skills as a photographer serve to "not screw it up." And although the jury is still out on that point, I think I like it. I don't know....ask me tomorrow...I'll probably want to take it down by then. This Diesel Pump is located on Route 5 between Williamsburg and Richmond Virginia. I believe it's the same road the union army traveled to get to Richmond before they burned it down in the Civil War. I guess they missed this pump...who has time to fool with gas anyway? Ha....ha.
