'The Mother in Me' Sneak Peak
Have I ever told you that I've got an essay and some photographs being published in a book? Like, a real fancy-dancy hardback book published by Deseret Book. Here is a sneak peak of some of the photos to be included in it. If you want to buy it (please?), go here or here. For more info on the book, you could even go here. Yes, these are pics of my family. Yes, they love me. Yes, they will buy the book. See how love works?

I love the skin tones in these-- and the second one-- how did you get such perfect focus on the eyes and the nice blur on her face? Amazing!

Your question-- yes I even use the 50mm for groups. I recently invested in a 24-70 zoom but have been disappointed.

    Post more photos please!

I'm a lurker...and a distant cousin. Found you through Blog Segullah. My mom stumbled on your post there about Emma Isabella Carroll (my great-great-grandmother) and wants you to know that she is NOT silent. She wrote some amazing things that my mom, Janet, is hoping to publish soon (but would love to share with you now). E-mail her at kseegmiller at bresnan dot net.

Just browsed a bit of your blog and found I have a few things in common with you besides Seegmiller genes: mother of boys--love 'em but they drive me crazy, lived in Germany (and, more importantly, love schokolade), depression, photography & Photoshop (though I don't have your talent). Wonder how much of that is genetic. Love your photos and will definitely check out your book. Nice to "meet" you cuz.
